Bchaaleh Trails Association (BTA) is a local non-profit organization specialized in responsible ecotourism.
Our vision is to make Bchaaleh one of the best rural sustainable tourism destination in the region.
Our mission is to preserve, develop and promote our natural and cultural heritage, transfer it in a better shape for future generations by developing sustainable tourism businesses and creating job opportunities leading to local circular economy and wellbeing enhancement of local community.
BTA offers a truly unique and diverse experience that combines in one place, natural, rural, historical, archaeological, and authentic aspects. From our millennial olive trees, known as Noah's, to our 28 kilometers of customizable hiking trails, we have something for everyone.
Our Millennial Olive Trees are the first reason that makes the experience truly one-of-a-kind. Not only are they claimed to be the oldest in the world, but a recent study has also shown that they include the mother genotypes of the olive trees found in the Mediterranean basin.
BTA aims to provide a variety of quality experiences that allow travelers to fully immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of our region. Our local guides are trained on guiding techniques, group management, wilderness first aid, equipment, and responsible tourism to ensure that your experience is safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
We encourage our visitors to engage with the locals, ask them about their habits and customs, and even try to live like them. You'll be able to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of nature, as well as exchange ideas and stories with the people around you.
BTA is committed to accessibility and offer easy trails and activity spaces for people with disabilities. It offers the unique opportunity for people with physical disabilities to experience nature on one of BTA qualified trails using the Joëlette wheelchair.
Our olive park garden is a place for children to move freely and play safely. Families with small children can also enjoy our easy trails and rest in our monasteries' courtyards.
