8 hiking trails to discover nature and culture

There are 8 well marked trails here, each with their own character. The Vine Trail, for example, will take you through vineyards, olive groves, and pine. As you head towards the Dagon Forest, you will pass by Rihane bushes, wild lavender, pink anemones, and cyclamen on a path that crosses oak trees and a rock cave before finally reaching the Qattine River and an incredible view of the Qattine Valley.  La Maison de la Forêt Trail, on the other hand, is a more adventurous trail that passes through the wilderness of the Bkassine forest – be prepared for breathtaking views of the Niha Fortress, the massive Jezzine cliffs and a waterfall as well as cultural sites such as an 18th century watermill.

Climbing the Tiid cliff for professionals and introductory course for beginners

The Tiid cliff is a west-facing cliff located in Tiid village and offers bucolic views of the valley of Bisri. While the crag holds mainly technical climbs and attracts professional climbers, it also has spots that can accomodate beginners. There’s even instruction available for those who have never climbed before – anyone aged 8 and above sign up for an Intro to Climbing course and be enjoying the cliff in no time.
