Route where you will cross various types of forest scrub of the Gargano crossing unique forests, plains and meadows.
Starting point will be the promenade area of the Center of San Giovanni Rotondo “in front of the City Palace” you will start by proceeding on an asphalt climb ” 7km about ” in the direction of Monte Calvo, then you will deviate on a mule track along a stretch on a characteristic natural floor and then cross a “real park” , enter the dense mixed forest of holm oaks and oaks to reach after an adrenaline-filled descent the old forestry barracks “casino” , after a short stop we will take a roadway to reach a single track that will take us to the heart of the Gargano “Bosco Quarto” where all the vegetation changes and even the scents of the forest will be different and more pungent.
Going along a stretch of uphill not very demanding dirt road we will reach the locality “princess” and then plunge into the forest of Leccio, take a breath on a nice descent that will take us directly on the path of the Via Francigena that will allow us to arrive and ride the descent of the Channel si San Nicola “bellisma descent flow” and disgorge in the plain of Pantano, after a short ride around the Lake of Pantano we will ride a short stretch of asphalt to reach the initial starting point of the tour.
