TORRE GUACETO, SUP EXCURSION AND SNORKELLING IN THE MARINE PROTECTED AREA
The itinerary is set in the waters of the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area, a treasure chest of biodiversity about 20 km north of Brindisi. The richness of its ecosystems is dictated by the geomorphology of the area and the direct correlation with the wetlands of the terrestrial part of the reserve, an area of internationally important naturalistic value. The combination of terrestrial and marine waters, in fact, enhances the existing habitats, which is why it is very interesting to explore these waters. In fact, the activity allows you to enjoy coastal scenery aboard SUPs, paddling on typical crystal-clear waters and looking out over coves and beaches rich in dune, halophile and Mediterranean vegetation. The route also includes stages where it will be possible to disembark from the SUPs and descend into the water with masks, snorkel and fins and continue the discovery and knowledge of the underwater ecosystem and the elements that make it up.
In a single experience, it will therefore be possible to carry out two exploration activities, above and below sea level, both of which will be introduced by dedicated briefings in which all the necessary information will be explained in order to deal with everything in the best and safest possible way.
