The “Sitizzo” Farm, owned and run by the AG.AR.TUR:2013 Agricultural Cooperative aims to be an example of environmentally sustainable development in the Gargano area. The farm consists of an area of about 120ha cultivated for 55ha with cereals and the remaining area is pasture for livestock. Most of the production is used to feed the animals that are raised (cattle, sheep and goats, horses, and minor animals).Naturally, the farm has been certified organic since 2016.
The primary goal that the members have set for themselves is to make this farm a multipurpose center for slow mobility, given the orographic position in which it is located.
Starting from the farm center, in fact, with the SITIZZO EQUESTRE sports association headed by president Leonardo Santucci, as well as director of the SITIZZO farm, they opened the riding school with an attached riding school and it was necessary to create a trail service so as to cover and introduce nature lovers to the entire Gargano territory through routes that day after day we go exploring and mark on all topographical maps such as these attached in the report.
The cooperative owner and manager of the structure, of course having set the goal of making the structure become a multipurpose center of slow mobility, proposes through this project to be presented with the call MONTAGNA to build a self-propelled structure for the custody , repair and recharge of Ebike and the installation of a network of photovoltaic panels for the production of 10/11 kilowatt hours of power so as to be self-sufficient to power the entire structure and to give an efficient service to color who use it.
As of today, we are ready to take guests from Sitizzo to:
Sitizzo – Monte Sant’Angelo: via the path that passes through Mount San Leonardo and then reaches the junction of Cassano where it meets the route of the Via Francigena that through cup of Our Lady of the Angels reaches Monte Sant’Angelo and then the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel.
